The Lake Harvest Kariba Challenge is held over the annual Heroes Weekend in August and is the central attraction for locals and visitors alike. Along with all the runners are their friends and family who attend to support and enjoy.

Kariba Challenge, Prizes

Registration & Payment

1.  Please register online .
2. Payment to be made when you collect your race number and tshirt (stocks are limited).
3. Collection points are either:
– Old Georgians’ Sports Club, Harare, on Fri 4th Aug from 5pm to 7.30pm
– Cutty Sark, Kariba, on Sat 12th Aug from 9am to 4pm
4. Entry fee is $20.00 USD per person. All proceeds will go to charity.

ROUTES

 

21 KM: start time is 6:30AM at Total Garage above Carribea Bay, finish at Cutty Sark
10 KM: start time is 6:40AM at Total Garage above Carribea Bay, finish at Cutty Sark

Bus transport provided from Cutty Sark to the start between 05:00AM – 06:00AM.

Kids’ Race: start time is between 10:30AM – 11.00AM.

IMPORTANT NOTICE 

 

Results are recorded by taking down your race number therefore make sure your entry form has your correct race number on it corresponding with your name. Registration is managed by volunteers and mistakes can be made. It is your responsibility to ensure your number corresponds to the correct category.

Runners may only participate in their registered age group.
Runners may only qualify for 1 prize category.

If you are competing for a prize in a specific category it is very important the number you have been given corresponds to your correct age and gender category. 

An electronic timing system will be used.

Please note there will only be 500 medals given out and only for the 21km race.
