With the Lake Harvest Kariba Challenge fast approaching, it’s always good to have all the information on hand to make it easier when planning for the event-filled weekend. We’ve compiled some Frequently Asked Questions as a one stop shop for all you need to know with regards to the Lake Harvest Kariba Run!

Q. When is the Kariba Challenge and what time does it start?

A. The Kariba Challenge is on Sunday the 11th of August 2019. The 21km half marathon starts at 6.30am and the 10km run at 6.40am. The Kid’s Race starts at 10am.

Q. What are the distances available in the Lake Harvest Kariba Challenge?

A. The Kariba Challenge is made up of 21km half marathon and a 10km run.

Q. What are the run starting and finishing points?

A. The 21km and 10km starts at Total Garage Kariba and finishes at the Dome, Lomugundi Lakeside. The Kid’s race will take place at the Lomugundi Lakeside.

Q. Can I register on the day of the run?

A. Registration can be done online here up until the 25th of July 2019. Physical registration can be done at the following dates and venues:

Saturday 2 August 2019

Old Georgians Sports Club Harare

5.30pm- 7pm

Saturday 10 August 2019

The Dome, Lomugundi Lakeside

9am – 4pm

There will be no registration taking place on the day of the race.

Q. What are the entry fees?

A. Standard entry fee for adults is $80 and $40 for kids. Club entry fees and disadvantaged fees are $60.

Q. Will there be prizes for the races?

A. Yes. There will be medals for all 21km finishers and prize money by age and category for both males and females.

Q. When is the Kid’s Fishing Competition and where does it take place?

A. The Kid’s Fishing Competition will be on Saturday the 10th of August 2019 from 10.30am at the Kariba Bream Farm, Charara. Registration will take place at the same venue at 9.30am.
